Donate Gifts of Securities

Make a meaningful gift with publicly traded securities.
Donating publicly traded securities is a tax-smart way to support St. Joseph’s mission. When you donate securities, you may eliminate the capital gains tax that would apply if you sold them first. You’ll also receive a charitable tax receipt for your gift.
Securities may include stocks, mutual funds, segregated funds, bonds, flow-through shares and employee stock options. You can make a gift now or include securities in your estate or will plans.
Speak with your financial advisor about which investments may best support your financial and philanthropic goals. Then ask your broker to transfer the securities directly to St. Joseph Foundation.
Please note: To help ensure your gift is receipted in the current tax year, please initiate the transfer before December 15. We’ll do our best to accommodate transfers that arrive after that date, but a current-year receipt cannot be guaranteed.
